2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Standard Cancellation Policy:

Our standard cancellation policy applies to all bookings unless otherwise specified by the lodge owner:

⚠️ Important: Some lodges may have different cancellation policies. Always check the specific cancellation policy mentioned on the lodge's page before booking.

2.2 How to Cancel:

  • Log in to your account
  • Go to "My Bookings" in your dashboard
  • Select the booking you wish to cancel
  • Click on "Cancel Booking" button
  • Confirm cancellation and select reason
  • You will receive a cancellation confirmation via SMS and email

3. Refund Process

3.1 Refund Timeline:

  • Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 2-3 business days after cancellation approval
  • Credit to Account: Once processed, refunds typically take 5-7 business days to reflect in your account
  • Bank Processing: The exact time depends on your bank's processing time

3.2 Refund Method:

  • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used during booking
  • Credit/Debit Card refunds: 5-7 business days
  • Net Banking refunds: 5-7 business days
  • UPI/Wallet refunds: 3-5 business days

3.3 Refund Calculation Example:

Scenario: You booked a room for ₹2,000 and cancel 50 hours before check-in

Booking Amount: ₹2,000
Refund Eligible: 100% (cancelled 48+ hours before)
Payment Gateway Charges: ₹40 (2% of ₹2,000)
Refund Amount: ₹1,960

4. Modification Policy

4.1 Booking Modifications:

  • Currently, direct modification of booking dates is not available
  • To change dates, you must cancel the existing booking and create a new one
  • Cancellation charges will apply as per the policy
  • Check availability before cancelling to avoid inconvenience
  • Note: Date modification feature is coming soon!

5. Special Circumstances

5.1 Lodge Owner Cancellations:

  • If a lodge owner cancels your confirmed booking, you will receive a 100% full refund
  • Refund includes all payment gateway charges
  • We will help you find alternative accommodation

5.2 Force Majeure Events:

In case of natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other force majeure events:

  • We will work with lodge owners to offer flexible options
  • Options may include full refund, rescheduling, or credit for future bookings
  • Each case will be evaluated individually

5.3 Technical Issues:

  • Payment deducted but booking not confirmed: Full refund within 7 business days
  • Double payment: Extra amount refunded immediately
  • Wrong amount charged: Difference refunded within 3 business days

6. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will NOT be provided in the following cases:

  • Cancellation within 24 hours of check-in time
  • No-show (not arriving at the lodge without prior cancellation)
  • Early check-out after check-in
  • Violation of lodge rules resulting in eviction
  • Dissatisfaction with lodge not matching description (in such cases, report immediately for resolution)
  • Personal reasons after check-in

7. Disputes and Issues

7.1 If You're Not Satisfied:

  • Contact the lodge owner immediately if there are issues
  • Document issues with photos/videos if possible
  • Report to our support team within 24 hours of check-in
  • We will mediate and work towards a fair resolution

7.2 Refund Disputes:

  • If you disagree with a refund decision, contact our support team
  • Provide booking reference and detailed explanation
  • We will review your case within 3-5 business days
  • Final decision will be communicated via email

8. Payment Gateway Charges

Payment gateway charges (typically 2-3% of transaction amount) are deducted from refunds as these are non-refundable charges levied by the payment processor. This is an industry-standard practice.

9. Refund Status Tracking

You can track your refund status:

  • Log in to your account
  • Go to "My Bookings"
  • View cancelled bookings
  • Check refund status and expected credit date

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
